…Until Having a Baby.
- Left clean dishes in the dishwasher for more than 24 hours
- Scrubbed poop off the wall
- Stayed in bed all day with another female
- Read blogs in the middle of the night
- Tried Baby & Me Yoga
- Been so relieved to see poop
- Left clothes in the dryer overnight
- Willingly got up at the crack of dawn to feed another person
- Been so excited to hear a burp
- Licked a pacifier “clean”
- Been so totally, helplessly, and unconditionally in love
Haha!
I could add:
I love it!
– Gone a whole day with out a shower and still left the house to run errands. Hey, ponytails are classy!
– Sing the Itsy Bitsy Spidar in the car over and over again until we get to our destination.
Ah, my dear, welcome to motherhood. Isn’t it grand? I just knew it would mellow out your OCD a bit! 😉 But you know what the bad thing is, if you’re anything like me, it’ll come back even worse later on! I find myself constantly cleaning up the playroom WHILE PLAYGROUP IS GOING ON! The other moms laugh at me, but I know you’ll understand, because I can see you doing the same thing! 😉
It (motherhood) only gets better from here….
awwwww, i love it!
Carrie. We don’t know each other that well (I was in Sims class), but your blog really touches on what it means to be a mother and a wife. We are truly blessed to be parents! Thank you for sharing.
